What are the services like?
We work hard every week to make sure the service you experience
is one that is interesting and creative and helps you grow in
your relationship with God. Our services feature contemporary
Christian music from our live praise band (we are a flock that
likes to rock!), dramas and multi-media which focus on the theme
of each day's message. Our Senior Pastor,
Jim Chandler, will talk
about an issue that is relevant to our lives today and teach
what the Bible says about that topic. Our Sunday services are
held at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Each service lasts about an hour and
ten minutes.
How should I dress?
However you feel comfortable! People who attend New Song
wear everything from business casual to jeans, shorts, and
sandals. Feel free to leave the tie and high heels at home!
Will I have to say anything
or will I be singled out as a visitor?
No! If you are a guest with us, we won't ask you to wear a
visitor badge or stand up and introduce yourself. The only thing
we invite guests to do is fill out a Response Card to let us
know you visited with us. Even then, we promise not to knock on
your door unless you request a visit.
What denomination is New
Song Church?
New Song is a United Methodist congregation, but we have
people from many different denominational backgrounds--and some who've never been a part of any church before
coming to New Song--who are a part of our church family.
Now that New Song
has its own facility, are there plans for future
building?
Yes! We moved into our Phase-One multipurpose facility in
September 2002 after having met in a high school for five years.
Although we're thankful to be onsite, we know that this is
truly a first phase for us. Our master plan for developing our
20 acres calls for the construction of a family life
recreational center, more educational and administrative space
and a permanent worship center. We're excited about the church
family God is building at New Song, and we are committed to
growing our ministries and our facilities as we move into the
future!
