A Season of Lent Challenge to be KIND!
New Song is passionate about TALKING and WALKING​ the Gospel - it takes words, actions, sacrifices, gifts, graces... actions, decisions, transformations, and so much more. We find the heart behind Easter is not only told through flowers and our eggs, but through the POWER of the Gospel as it compels us to share God's love with all whom we encounter.  Would you want to be part of a challenge that puts your faith a little "out there?"  Would you be willing to share those stories, pictures, and experiences? Join us through Easter Sunday as we take the 40 Days of Kindness Challenge - spread joy, give hope!

Palm Sunday Services

Help us begin Holy Week at New Song with the palms and joy of the day as Jesus arrives in our city! This week is one of great extremes: we see the story hailing Jesus a hero on Sunday and calling for his death by the week's end. Something big happens in this account; don't miss out on the HOPE found in HOLY Week!
Good Friday Service
Friday / April 2 / 7pm, Outdoor Worship & LiveStream
This worship service is open to all as we join us for a time of reflection, Holy Communion and worship. This time together is always a sacred time and we look forward to hosting you and yours for a night that recalls the events of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the events leading up to Resurrection Sunday.
Easter Sunrise Service
Sunday / April 4 / 6:30am, LiveStream
This virtual service will feature an early celebration as we worship the RISEN Savior! Just as Jesus met Mary at the tomb that early day in the Garden, we hope to have you join us, too, as we sing our Easter favorites and hear the Gospel's message proclaimed on Resurrection! 
Easter Offering
New Song's 2021 Easter Offering will be directed to 3 specific causes:

- United Methodist Family Services (UMFS): assists with foster and adoptive services all over the state and is headquartered right here in Richmond, VA. We have multiple families with connections to UMFS and we invite you to help us make an immediate difference in the life of many right here, right now.
- VCU's PACE Campus Ministries: it's hard to imagine the full diversity of religious and faith influences present on VCU's campus, but PACE is right in the middle of it all (literally: right beside Monroe Park!). We would like to support this ministry as they endeavor to reach a generation not only uniquely present at VCU, but all surrounding colleges and campuses. 
- Camp Westview on the James: this amazing camp opens their cabin doors to kids and groups all year long... except in Covid. This year's pandemic has been catastrophic to their finances; we want to help make sure camp opportunities are available for years and years to come. 

All 3 causes are local and urgent. These are for ministries having to pivot "on the fly" due to the impact of Covid.
As these organizations reach out to some of the most vulnerable and young in our region, may we support them prayerfully and faithfully!

Some of you want to get creative and throw some peep creations out there... we can't wait to see what you will do! Feel free to post anything you are able to generate; all entries will be submitted through our Facebook page (no entries will be received at the Church - all virtual)!
