Realizing that trust is the single-most important factor in a relationship, and that God calls us to “test Me now in this,” my household joins with other families across this congregation to take a tremendous step of faith & trust… to use this church as a “storehouse for the Lord’s work,” and starting next week, May 24, 2020, to set aside my first 10% of income for the next 90 days. I will journey through this time in service to others, prayer and devotions, and in giving to God from all that I am and all that I have!

My household commits the following as part of this 90-10 Challenge: *

I will begin tithing as an act of worship before the Lord. I will return to tithing… something I am re-committing to do in faith. I will continue to tithe, endeavoring to do even more for God this day.

+ In this 90-Day Challenge, my household will contribute 10% (or more) of our total income, our weekly hours, and our God-given abilities to God’s work here at New Song Church and around the world.

+ The 90 day period begins on Sunday, May 24, 2020.

+ Tithes may be paid through check, envelope, or New Song’s online giving options (on the church website) so that my tithe can be properly recorded.

+ If I’m not convinced God has blessed my household during this time, I am entitled to a refund of the amount given during the 90-Day Tithe Challenge. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the Challenge’s ending.

A Word About Tithing...

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from
devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. (Malachi 3:10-11, NIV)

A tithe… which means “tenth,” is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that’s to be given back to their house of worship. Tithing, trust and generosity are principles that are taught throughout the entire Bible. When we tithe, we are expressing worship in a tangible way by putting God first.

For many, the idea of bringing the first 10% of income to the Church seems overwhelming. The thing is, it doesn’t matter how much or how little we earn: tithing is about training our heart to trust God and to take God's Word to heart.

We know generosity is a huge step of obedience, but you’re not in this alone! We want to know you’re taking your next step in generosity by bringing your full tithe to the church with this 90-Day Tithing Challenge. As the verses above state, we can "take God’s promises to the bank."
Simply stated: we can’t out-give God!
