Backpack Ministry: Weekend Meals for Students
When the free/reduced meal program ends on Fridays, many families struggle to have food for the table during the weekend and holidays. New Song's partnership with multiple churches throughout the region helps provide a backpack full of food to help cover the gap students face while not at school. Feel free to provide any items from this month's collection (to the collection box in the Commons) |
Special Needs Ministry: Buddies!
Date: Sundays, during worship For many families, getting to worship is not "a given" when they have a child with special needs. We want to help parents and care-givers know their child is in a loving, caring, Christ-like environment while they worship - and have openings available to help with some of our brightest smiles and gentle souls in the ministry! Our "Buddies" have an introductory session to best understand what each child needs, along with any insights or requests to make their experience its very best. Have a heart with a lot of love? This may be the perfect opportunity for you! For more information and to sign up, contact: Heather Shaheen, [email protected] |

JOBS for LIFE!
A ministry emphasizing dignity through employment. This ministry seeks to provide a biblically-based, Christ-centered job skills training program that acknowledges many programs exist to help with everything from food, housing, clothing, and even furniture, but there are precious few resources in most communities that focus on gaining employment. What if there was a way to "flip the script" and provide a route towards increasing dignity and the opportunity to buy their own food, clothing, and so much more?! You can find out more by simply watching the video tied to this new ministry (linked below), "Flip the List!" Jobs For Life is a program that seeks to "uplift humanity through the dignity of work -- one city, one community, one life at a time." Feel free to let us know you're interested by contacting our Coordinators today! Alan Fearnow & Heather Shaheen: [email protected] |
