Dear New Song Family...
This Christmas, I want to thank you for walking with us through a year unlike any other. Looking back, it’s incredible to see the fellowship, relationships, and ministries we’ve come to appreciate. 2020 has been a wild ride, and though a few hills from this rollercoaster year will continue, we look forward to all God will do in 2021.
To close out a challenging year, we wanted to catch our breath in this 2020 journey as we reflect with gratitude. We are so thankful for you: we appreciate you being part of New Song Church!
This year, since business was anything but usual, we shifted our focus quite a bit: we became a church who operated in a way that allowed us to be in homes, on devices, and in ministry in totally new ways. We know none of these initiatives would have been possible without you, so we wanted to celebrate a few “wins” from 2020 as we turn the page into a new chapter of what’s to come.
In addition to making huge strides towards a soon-to-be built facility expansion at New Song, here are just some of the highlights you might remember…
· Close to 120 units of blood were donated via our Community Blood Drives
· Over 990 hours of Christian Counseling was provided (821 via Zoom)
· 20+ Healthy Church Team meetings were held to best keep New Song safe
· Close to 1,000 cards were sent in 2020 as part of our Covid-Connection response
· Over 5 tons of food was distributed to local food banks as a result of 13 Drive-Thru Food Drives
· Drive-thru events were held for Mother’s Day, Back-to-School & 30+ Drive-by Birthday Parades
· Outdoor & Drive-Thru worship services were held on days of brighter weather
· Small Groups: new groups were started, new studies offered & we had increased participation
· Overall financial giving was up 12% in 2020; General Fund was able to stay even with 2019 giving
· $101,285.04 was given towards our $100,000 Matching Challenge with Forward in Faith
· New members, new professions of faith and baptisms have all been celebrated
· New technology has been added, allowing us to continue an online presence into the future
· New updates to the facility: many rooms repainted, re-floored and spruced up
· New staff, new mission partnerships, a Community Garden: we have served many!
It's hard to believe so much fruit came from a year like 2020; we are so thankful for the part you played in making these realities possible. More details have been included in our full 2020 recap.
While 2020 was anything but easy, I’m so thankful for your continued support and the opportunity to reflect on what God has done this year. We look forward to seeing God’s plans for 2021 come to full fruition.
Friends, here’s wishing you a very Merry Christmas & incredibly Happy New Year!
Faithfully,
Pastor Chad
