FORWARD in FAITH... Campaign Launch Letter
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
(II Corinthians 5:7)
(II Corinthians 5:7)
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
We have truly missed seeing you for in-person worship and ministries at New Song, and remain thankful for your continued faithfulness in supporting our Church. Often times, when we are in the midst of something that is hard, scary, or exhausting, it’s not easy to see beyond the situation at hand, let alone view it as a blessing. We are thankful that, even in difficult circumstances, God allows us to glorify Him for all that He has done. It’s comforting to know that God has a plan for each of us and for our congregation.
Over the past several years, we have prayerfully taken a hard look at our ministries, our needs, and what it would take to move our ministries to the next level as we continue to focus on our Mission and Vision. One need that has been repeatedly identified is “more space” to conduct God’s ministries here at New Song.
Our new “Forward In Faith” campaign and plans help address these immediate needs. None of these ideas are without cost, but it’s exciting to share: we’re dreaming right along with you! Before taking on additional debt, we have been working hard to pay down our current loan. We have made significant progress on our debt: from $1.6 million in 2002, down to just under $525,000 as of the end of summer, 2020.
Little did we know: even with all our plans, God had something bigger in store for us! A member has generously given New Song a contribution of $100,000 towards retiring our debt and is challenging us to collectively match (or exceed) that contribution. $100,000 is the single-largest contribution we’ve ever received, and with additional payments made, our debt is down to $412,000! This is great progress, but we need your help to take a giant step forward in faith.
Can you partner with us as we raise the funds to match (or even exceed) this contribution? We have set a target date of Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020, to reach this goal, and your support is critical. Making a donation will help us retire debt and position us to complete this next phase: let’s make this facility expansion a reality in 2021! These donations are considered ‘over and above’ your normal giving that supports the general operations of New Song's ministries.
Whether a 1-time gift or over a series of contributions, every dollar counts and we are grateful for your prayerful consideration and faithful participation:
Finally, we invite you to check our website and social media to see frequent updates on our progress towards retiring our debt and building expansion plans.
Let’s keep praying, let’s keep growing, and let’s keep going: FORWARD in FAITH!

One need that has been repeatedly identified is “more space” to conduct God’s ministries here at New Song.
- Space for children (pre-COVID, we were literally busting at the seams!)
- Space for gathering and connecting in the lobby and Commons area (a recommendation from the NLI feedback)
- Additional bathrooms to accommodate all ages
- Reconfigured staff offices based on current staff and best use of space
- A pavilion for outdoor, sheltered space
- Additional parking spaces; many have also requested a paved parking lot
