Many of our members may be surprised to know that we have had as many as 93 designated accounts over the years. We “house” significant, difference-making funds in our larger checking account that, sadly, never get used because of how restrictive the designation was at the time the donation was made. We feel there is a better way. In the One Fund, we will be able to take these scattered pieces and pull them together in a coherent, thoughtful way. Essentially, a One Fund is a 2-year Ministry Plan that accounts for the church’s ministries, missions, special initiatives, and events. We also include contingencies in each area for those unforeseen questions. Nothing we have supported to date will end up being decreased in its funding.
