Brianna CalkinsBri is currently a first-year intern at George Mason University. First becoming involved with Cru her freshman year of college in 2018, she began to truly experience the community of believers that's fostered in Cru. After months of being involved, she came to know Jesus and put her trust in Him as her savior. With the opportunities provided from Cru and the team of dedicated staff, Bri decided to continue to grow in her faith by working as a part-time staff and transition to being an intern in the spring with Cru at George Mason University in the 2021-2022 school year. Bri felt called to campus ministry through her love of sharing with others who Jesus is and is excited to continue to serve God and the Mason Community with Cru next year as a second-year intern.

Hi, New Song!
We have been with Cru for 10 years. We got involved in Cru at Virginia Tech as undergraduates where our lives were transformed as we learned what Biblical community looks like and how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. After college, we interned with Cru for two years (Whit at Virginia Tech, Sydni in Venezuela), helping other college students walk with Jesus.
Our next steps took us to Pennsylvania where we took office roles serving staff members on campuses in six states and six countries. Whit continued working with Cru while Sydni pursued her master's degree in Agricultural Economics in 2015. When she graduated, we moved to France where Whit led a team of interns serving the North Africa & Middle East.
We just returned to the US from France and have just begun two new roles within Cru under two different ministries:
Sydni is back on full-time staff and will work with Unto (formerly GAiN), creating agricultural training workshops. Cru missionaries and partners around the world will use these workshops to further their local ministries as they share the gospel in some of the toughest places on earth.
Whit will work with FamilyLife, Cru's ministry creating hope and change for couples and parents. As FamilyLife adds new programs and expands their reach, Whit will help oversee the change process, providing input on how to create systems that will allow more families to find restoration and share the hope they have in Christ.
We truly appreciate your desire to make a contribution to our ministry! God will surely multiply your donation to bring glory to His Name to people all around the world. We pray that you may be richly blessed with treasures in Heaven if you choose invest in what we are doing together around the world.
